Deer Lake vacation

This seems crazy to have to go back & think about what I was doing 2 MONTHS ago. But I will because some day I hope this to be a small scrapbook for the girls to read.

We have made a family tradition to go to Deer Lake with Matt's family & stay for a few day's. The last 2 years the weather hasn't been so great, but this year it was nice & hot for us to spend hours & hours by the water.

Summer in Montana

We headed to my parents this weekend so Matt could get our last load of wood & we could visit before hunting season starts & things get crazy at the house. We stopped on our way out of town & bought the girls a new seat to ride on the 4.wheeler. Usually Matt & I or my mom & I each take a girl & we ride slow with them in front of us. That worked OK until 1. they started getting bigger and 2. they fall asleep and you are trying to hold a limp baby in your arms. So we put this new seat on the back of my 4.wheeler & they had a great time. They love it!

Bow Shoot weekend 2011

The annual tri-state bow shooting competition happened again this year! Ha. My parents have friends from Spokane, ID and MT that all get together the 1st weekend in August & we eat a.lot. Play a.lot. and the guys all do a friendly bow shoot competition. It's always a really fun weekend for everyone. Unfortunately this year, the river at my parents house has been drawn down so low we couldn't take the boat out. We still had a good time...

The river is so low, this is normally covered with water, instead we could ride the 4.wheeler down on the rocks & go fishing in the river.

My brother's wedding

On July 30th --- my brother married Erin in Missoula MT. It was a family affair...I was a bridesmaid, Matt a groomsman & the girls were both flower girls. (Although Morgen fell asleep right before the ceremony so Grandma Candee held her as she missed the whole thing). The wedding was at a Wildlife refuge in Corvallis MT. It was a great time for everyone. The weather was great & the setting was gorgeous!
