First snow of Winter~

And the girls L.O.V.E.D. it! By 9 am breakfast was done & the girls were bundled up. JaCee has been waiting for it to snow for a LONG time now...excited was an understatement when she saw the snow this am. Although I think Morgen liked the snow more than JaCee did. Morgen squealed in delight the entire time. As I was pulling them in the sled around the yard, our neighbor Bob came out & yelled, "you have winter fever!" I said No, I have a 2 year old who won't let me live it down if the snow melted before we got to play in it for a while!

JaCee's 1st year of trick-or-treating was a success! She loved it! We took her to our neighbor Bob's house 1st so she could have a good experience for the 1st door...and she loved it. As we were walking away she said, "I want to do another house..." We went around our block & she did great. The weather was so nice out it was like a big block party, neighbors out talking & visiting. I was worried how JaCee would do with people & mask's on, but she did great. Who thought the man dressed up as Santa Claus would send her to screams & tears! I told Matt looks like pictures at the Mall with Santa are OUT this year! She proceeded to tell the next 2 houses we went to that she did NOT like Santa Claus. I had to laugh. She woke up this morning asking to go trick-or-treating again...

 Saturday night we carved Pumpkins after dinner. The girls had fun. Well JaCee had fun watching us. She didn't like the feel of the inside of the Pumpkin though, so she mostly just watched.

 And Morgen played in the drawers while we were busy cutting away...

Morgen is 9 months old. And don't ask me HOW or WHY the bow is in the Middle of her head...I'll blame it on JaCee. See how perfect hers is with no siblings to tackle her. JaCee was 7 months in her picture.

Morgen's 9 months old

I don't have much new to write about in this post... We haven't done a lot lately. The weather turned for the worst, so our day's are spent inside now. We're now looking for things to do & places to go to stay inside & keep the kid's busy. 

 JaCee entered her 1st COLORING contest! They are choosing 5 winners for each age group. Winner gets tickets to Mobius! Again...looking for fun things to do inside!  

 And here is the what JaCee prefers to do over almost anything...trying to get ME to pull her around the house...or trying to get Morgen to STAY in the sled while she pulls her. I have a feeling this winter will be FUN in the snow for JaCee.

 Here is JaCee at Chuck E Cheese! She loves the rides! She. Hates. Chuck.E.Cheese!!!  That's all I'll say...Oh and that she still talks about Chuck E Cheese when we go to bed...that she doesn't want him to come to her room to get her. Poor thing.

Morgen turned 9 months old a few day's ago. I don't have a good 9 month picture of her yet. Her well-baby check up went good. She weighs 20lbs 15 oz & is 36 inches long. 75% for both! I looked at JaCee's 9 month...she was 18lbs & 30 inches. So Morgen's 2lbs heavier but 6 inches longer. She was so excited to start eating real food & feeding herself when we started, but she's cooled off on that. Especially at dinner time. She wants mom to spoon feed her. At breakfast & lunch, she'll feed herself a bit. She's sleeping a little better during the night. She goes to bed about 730pm & sleeps until about 830am, and gets up once for a bottle. Usually between 3-5am. She naps at 10, 1230 & 4pm. She's just getting her 1st cold...yuck and Sunday is going to be her 1st Halloween! It's suppose to rain! Boo-hoo. Maybe we'll Trick-or-treat at the mall!

Greenbluff

We made our annual trip to Greenbluff today after church. It was a gorgeous day. A bit chilly in the morning, but it warmed up nice. JaCee had a great time!!

 And another just cute picture of Morgen in action! AKA - Crawling. She's is so cute with her small hands and huge smile. This is what she looks like crawling too...smiling...she is so happy to be mobile. The thing you can't hear...is her squealing as she crawls. I almost couldn't get the picture of her sitting in the comparison picture because she was trying to take off crawling.  Her favorite place to crawl to is the back slider or the front screen door. She just loves to watch the kids riding bikes in the street. She bangs on the door as if to say Hi - I'm over here. So cute. I will get a picture from the outside looking in at her soon!

 JaCee had her follow up Thumb appointment Tuesday. Everything looks great. Just a couple little stitches are hanging on but everything looks great. She also had her 1st Dentist appointment. Oh Boy. I'm sure if you were with in a 2 mile radius, you heard the screams. When we left I said you did good but you didn't have to cry that loud. She said, well that guy had a mask on & I don't like it. Poor thing. She's never been one to like anyone in a hat or with any kind of mask on so I should have known...

Morgen's crawling!

The day after my last post, Morgen started crawling, about 5 steps..And by the next day...she was crawling all over the house. She is already pulling up on E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!! She is always standing in her crib now when I go to get her. She loves to go in JaCee's bedroom & pull herself up on her bed -- probably because it's a little lower to the ground. She loves the kitchen table & is either found standing at a chair or playing with JaCee under the table. JaCee LOVES that Morgen is crawling around. They are playing together a lot more now. If JaCee goes into her room to play, Morgen crawls in there too. Something new I had to do...go over JaCee's room with a fine tooth comb, looking for & removing any small objects. I didn't have to worry about that when JaCee started crawling.

 I loved this! JaCee NEVER watches TV. NEVER. BUT, from time to time, she will ask for --- yes---Barney! Only because she loves the song, she is usually running around the house while the show is on. But Morgen was up...and it was mysteriously quiet in the living room for a minute --- I peeked my head around the corner to see this....

Morgen had her 1st ride on the lawnmower. This is usually JaCee's job. This evening, JaCee got a lesson on "sharing" with her sister.

JaCee really really wants to hold Morgen lately. I have to let her get her fix in, because I've found if I don't...she takes it upon herself to try to "hold" or "pick-up" Morgen when I'm not in the room. If she gets to hold her for a few minutes, I'm usually --- well Morgen --- is usually safe for a few hours.

Here's a picture of JaCee's thumb. Actually the green wrap is off now & we just have the band-aid on. Her thumb looks good. The stitches should start coming out soon & we have our follow up appt. on Tue. She turned 2 and a HALF this week. Yesterday actually. She had her 30 month appointment with her pediatrician. She weighs in at a hefty 27.5 lbs. and is 36.5 inches tall. Looks great & is doing great. Had one poke in the leg she didn't like. It's amazing how big they get so fast. As I was going in the office, I was remembering the day's of taking her in there because she wouldn't stop crying. ow, as we walked in, she had her sunglasses & flip-flops on, "like mommy" she says & a baby is crying...she looks at me & says --- that baby is sad because he got a shot. She was probably right, but it sounded so grown up.

Morgen's 8 months old!



Morgen was 8 months old on Tuesday, the day JaCee had her thumb surgery. She got to spend the day with Grandma Candee who was so nice & came to town to stay with her so we didn't have to drag her to the hospital before sunrise.

Morgen's had some pretty big accomplishments this month. She learned how the sippy cup works. FINALLY. That took a lot of work. She can now go from laying or crawling position to sitting up. It's the curtest thing to get her from her crib if she's crying & she's sitting up. I love it! Tears & all. She's not crawling yet, but she's up on all 4's & will take 1 or 2 lunges forward before plopping back down on her tummy. If she really wants something, she army crawls to get to it. Her top 2 teeth are just poking through. The right one is through now so I can feel it with my fingers. The left one is just poking through the to where I can see it below the skin. The result? A very fussy baby. She hasn't been this fussy since we've had her...poor thing. She's still not sleeping through the night. Randomly she will do it, but more times than not...she's up 2x's! And she's starving. She downs a bottle & is back asleep. She's not awake playing, etc. just plain hungry. I started feeding her table foods this week. She - LOVES - it! Green beans, bakes beans, cottage cheese, peaches, pears, anything she can feed herself with she is loving it! She loves watching JaCee. Usually JaCee is with me when I get Morgen up in the morning but if JaCee's not, I can barely hold her in my arms she lunging around looking on the ground for JaCee & when she can't find her she looks at me if to say where is she? So cute.

Morgen is still a very big baby. Doesn't look like that trend is going to stop. She's currently wearing 12-18 month clothes. And size 3 shoes. I got out some shoes the other day thinking she's in the little soft sole NB shoes...nope...wrong. I had to go get out the big tennis shoes. I weighed her at home a couple weeks ago & she was 21.6 lbs. We now have a car seat dilemma on our hands....and will probably have to purchase a new one here in the next few weeks. I was hoping she would stay in her infant car seat until she's 1 & we could move her to the one we had JaCee in, but it doesn't appear that is going to work.
