Fall Festival

We headed down to the Harrington Fall Festival last weekend to watch the parade and see Papa Denny in the parade. He was celebrating his 50 year High School alumni reunion. We met Matt's sister & her kids...it was a fun long day!

All cousins waiting for the parade to come

Soccer!!!

JaCee started playing SOCCER this fall! A friend in her preschool class asked her to join the team because they were a few players short. The 1st game ---- she was crying & clinging to my leg by the time we reached the field. The 1st half, Matt had to be on the field with her & she still just stood in the middle crying, not doing anything else. After much bribing ... she decided the 2nd half she would be OK to chase the ball around at least. It's really cute watching these little girls playing. They giggle & squeal...

Giving coach "5" after the game

Preschool for JaCee

September 10th was JaCee's 1st day of Pre.school! She did go last year to the same school --- just 2 day's a week. This year, she will go 3 day's a week. The school offers an option for 4 day's a week, but I am more than OK having her away from me 3 day's a week. Before I know it she'll be in school all day so I'm holding on to all the time I can get. She loves the school, and some of her friends from last year are in her class again so I think she'll have a great year.

Morgen is still having a hard time with JaCee being away from her. She did last year too. I thought she might adjust, but she hasn't so far. If we come home for the 2 hours JaCee is in class, Morgen mostly lay's around on the couch with her blanket. If she see's me heading for the garage door she jumps up and says, "go get JaCee now?" I hope she will adjust soon & learn to enjoy the time alone being "just one" but we'll see...

This was actually taken the Friday before the 1st day of school...we were on our way to preschool orientation

And Morgen had to wear a dress too of course...

JaCee on her actual 1st day of preschool!

And Morgen needed to share her "cheeeeeseee" too!

Fall wedding

Matt's cousin got Married a week ago in a gorgeous location on the little Spokane river. I didn't get many pictures of the actual wedding (I was too busy keeping the girls quiet or chasing them to make sure they stayed OUT of the river) but Matt's mom did take a couple of family pictures for us...

Last trip of the year to get wood

We headed to my parent's house a couple of weeks ago to get our last load of wood for the year. On Saturday we went to visit some of my dad's friends' hunting camp up what is called Beaver Creek. It was a really really neat camping site right on a river. We visited for a few hours before grabbing a quick dinner & heading back home for a 4-wheeler ride in the eveing.

Oh ya, I also did some shooting. Matt is always bugging me to shoot a gun...so I finally did. Just to show him I do in fact know how to shoot a gun.

What a gorgous area!

Visiting Aunt and Uncle in Missoula

On Labor Day weekend we headed over to Missoula to spend the long weekend with my brother & sister in law. We had a great time! The girls are such good traveler's now they are a little older. We left after lunch Friday & they took their little naps...then we stopped in St. Regis to get out & stretch a little bit & then on to the homestretch. There are some awful fires just south of Missoula --- so as we got closer, the air quality got worse and worse.

Saturday morning we headed down to the Farmer's Market. The girls were of course attracted to the train.

Farmers Market's in Missoula are no joke. They go for blocks & blocks & they have jump houses for kids while the parent's shop.

We made it down to the Carousel

Daddy & his girls

Sunday we loaded up my brother's raft & floated the Blackfoot river. Floating river's in Missoula is a big deal & uncle Ryan is a great boat host. It was a bit windy that day, but we still had a great time.

Almost done floating

Huge Sunflower

I planted sunflower seeds in front of Morgen's window this summer. My thought was...they will get big & provide some shade in front of the window to her room. Well ---- we got ONE --- HUGE sunflower to come up. I have no idea what happened, but I had to get a picture of the girls in front of it.
