Morgen's 2nd birthday party

We had Morgen's 2nd birthday party this weekend...and sadly, because of the snow, my parents couldn't come to it. We got 1.5 feet of snow Thursday/Friday...with freezing rain to follow. Sad. I guess this is the reality of a January party. We decided to have our party with Matt's sister, cousins and his mom & dad who were able to make it to our house. We did end up moving up the party to include lunch, and then they could get home before the roads were too bad.

The theme of the party was Morgen's Sweet Shoppe. I dipped ice cream cones in chocolate & then rolled them in sprinkles. Then got a bunch of different candy for toppings and some fudge and caramel. I let the kids make their own ice cream cones/sundae's. They had a great time.

JaCee ~ January 2012

JaCee went to her 1st birthday part that wasn't a "family related" party. It was at an adorable place called Lollipop's and Lemondrops. They have a tu-tu's and tierra's party where all the little girls get tierra's to take home & they get to dress up in tu-tu's. It was a cute party & JaCee had a good time. Here she is with her little friends --- mostly from her pre.school.

Morgen was getting pictures taken this day --- and JaCee was feeling left out so she put on her own dress and wanted me to take pictures.

We took a few family pictures by ourself at our own house the other day...nothing special ---- I was really just trying to get one good picture of Morgen for her 2 year pictures....but that didn't happen! So off to the studio we went. Anyway....

Christmas 2011

We had Christmas at our house this year. My Mom & Dad, Ryan & Erin came over for the fun. Since they all had to travel back home on Sunday, we cooked out big "Christmas" dinner on Saturday & opened presents Sunday morning ---- after Santa came of course. JaCee was SOOO into Santa this year. It was great! She had a bit of a hard time falling asleep on Christmas Eve --- she kept calling us into her room for us to reassure her that Santa wasn't going to "come check on her while she was sleeping." It was pretty cute.

Colvin/Hardy Christmas

We rotate Christmas every other year with our parents. This year, was Christmas with my family so the week before Christmas we had a "faux" Christmas with Matt's sister, her family & Grandma/Grandpa Hardy. It is so fun for the kids to get together ---- crazy ---- but fun!

Papa Bob's Surprise 60th birthday party

We planned a surprise birthday party for my Dad's 60th at the Cathay Inn. Everything that could go wrong to ruin the surprise --- did! But we still pulled it off. Unfortunately, Ryan had surgery the 1st of December and was still not recovered, so he couldn't come. Friends and family included: Wendy, Steve & Tanya, Fred, LouAnne & Kylie, Ed & Deborah, Bob M., Pat & Kim, Jerry & Scott, Candee and Denny, Us, and Mom.
