Morgen 18 months

I am behind on posting, I can see that. Last week Morgen had her 18 month check up. She weighs 29.5lbs. (75%). And her height is in the 90%. She looks great. Is doing good. I had the Dr. look at her mouth, she fell last week & hit her lip pretty good. I was debating weather to take her to the hospital to get stitches. I decided against it as I know they don't typically stitch the mouth unless the cut goes all the way through. This didn't, but it sure did bleed A.LOT, and kind of oozed, all night long. So anyway, Dr looked & said it looked fine. And one of Morgen's eye's has been  a little "gunky" off & one. Some day's it runs, some it's red, other's it looks great. There were a couple of day's I thought it was pink eye and I happened to have some pink eye medicine from when JaCee was little so I treated it with that...The Dr says keep treating it with that for a week to see if it goes away.

You are talking & communicating more & more. This weekend you learned to say NO really good to me! Ha. I told you to eat a bite of an orange & you said !NO! So stern & with your lips puckered out! It made me laugh so hard. I love you so much. You are soo affectionate & giving with your kisses now. Thank goodness. You love to laugh & chase your sister. You guys have your own games you play together, you giggle & wrestle each other on the floor in the most delicate way two sisters could wrestle and have fun. It never ends in crying. You also play some form of tag...you love to chase each other around the house, Morgen roars at you like a lion and you run, then you find her & yell - tag you it...and run from her. It makes me the happiest as a mom when I see you guys playing together. JaCee has decided she likes you carry you around & you hate it. You let her do it but groan & whine while she does it. You love the swimming pool, but you have learned if you come to me crying & pull at your wet suit or clothes, I put dry clothes on you because like your momma ---we don't like wet clothes on us!

You don't have any more teeth this month. You have learned you love pea's. We have sugar snap peas in the garden & you love to go to the garden, pick a handful of peas & eat them. You love watermelon & cantaloupe, but hate, strawberries & raspberries.

Am I ready for this again?

Potty training JaCee was a piece of cake. So to speak. I do remember shedding a few tears of frustration & calling my mom on occasion to get some advice. But really, she did OK. And after she learned, that was that. No accidents. She was done with her diapers. She started getting up & going potty in the middle of the night, by herself when she was 2. No accidents. No pull.ups.

So here we go again...Morgen is starting to show a tad bit of interest. After I go potty, she tries to get on the potty herself. If I ask did you go potty, she gets a clean diaper & lays down for a change. My mom asked her if she had to go potty one - she was doing a little dance & she shook her head yes, stood still for a minute (of what we guessed went potty in her diaper) got the shivers & ran off playing. So I brought up the potty chair.

I can see how different things will be with child #2. First of all, JaCee has been known to take Morgen to the bathroom with her, take off her pants & diaper....Morgen streaks out of the bathroom with no diaper....JaCee chases her & says mom ---- Mo.gun had to go potty. JaCee has tried to put Morgen on the big potty & is currently showing her how to get the toilet paper off the roll. Wish me luck on this one.

Park play

We went to the park on Sunday to celebrate Grandma Candee's birthday party. The kids played in the splash pad & the parent's tried to stay cool in the shade. It was really warm out...Here are a few pictures.

JaCee's gymnastics

I signed JaCee up for her 1st gymnastics class. It's once a week for an hour. She did SOO good & LOVED it. I was a bit nervous she wouldn't go with the teacher & would want me with her, but she didn't. She went with the teacher & never looked back. They have a little viewing area above the gym's you can watch the little one's. Watching her made me realize how big she is getting...jumping around, having a great time. Morgen on the other hand was sad....she couldn't go be with JaCee. It's one of the 1st things that she hasn't been able to do. She kept looking and me & pointing to JaCee & saying JaCee....like Mom - what's the deal? Why can't I go down there.

Trying to get a good picture is hard --- they are moving the whole time!

4th of July

Thursday morning, Morgen woke up crying which is ODD for her. She is such a happy baby she always wakes up in a good mood. Her crying when she woke up went from bad to worse....cranky & clingy all dy, wanting to be held, sleepy & a fever...by 430pm she was throwing up. Oh boy. What a way to start off the holiday weekend. I had spent Thursday trying to pack as we were planing on leaving town for the weekend to go to my parents house. That was obviously on hold. Friday morning, JaCee crawled in bed with us at 4am, crying ---- her leg touched mine & I knew she was sick too. her leg was ON FIRE. Matt & I looked at each other & tried to go back to sleep for a little while...When JaCee got up her temp was 103 something....Morgen was still clingy & we had been up every 4 hours keeping Tylenol in her, but no sickness through the night like I was worried would happen. By Friday night, they were both doing better...they both ate dinner & we even went for a little walk around the block.

My sick baby girl. By the time JaCee got sick I couldn't pick up a camera to get a picture of them...they both needed to be held at the same time all day long.

Saturday morning we got up & hung out for a while...the girls seemed to be doing better so we headed to MT. We visited with my mom & dad, did some fireworks ---

Sunday, my brother & his soon to be wife came over for the day to BBQ & visit too. The day was crazy. It started with Matt & my dad heading out early in the AM to get a load of wood. They got home, and Ryan, Erin, Matt, Me & JaCee all loaded on the 4.wheelers & went for a ride. My my mom & dad kept Morgen at the house with them. Unfortunately, the ride was cut short by Matt having to tow me & my 4.wheeler back tot he house. I went through what I thought was a creek, but it was a mud bog filled with water & it sunk my 4.wheeler & the water cut the power. Ughhh.....I had JaCee on my lap & it was quite the scene to hear her screaming as the water was getting higher & higher. We were in no real danger though, so I wasn't too worried.

Ryan getting ready to tow me out...

Erin taking care of JaCee for me. Thank goodness for her!

After we got back from the ride....we ate Dinner & JaCee had been begging Erin to go with with her on a 4.wheeler ride. I asked Erin if she would just take her down to the boat launch, which is just about 1/2 mile...not far at all. Erin said yes...she's such a trooper, she doesn't care for 4.wheelers anyway, but did it for JaCee. Matt & my brother & my dad were all outside messing around with my 4.wheeler since it had dried out & was running a little bit. All of a sudden we hear a girl screaming ... she's on her 4.wheeler  screaming there is a roll over ATV wreck. My heart sunk, I knew Erin & JaCee were up there on the 4.wheeler, I yelled for Matt ---- to see where JaCee is ---- the look on his face was of Panic!!! Matt & my brother took off on a wheeler toward the wreck, my dad went running by me for his 4.wheeler. I was crying by this point yelling where is JaCee...where is JaCee & Erin??? No one would answer. As I started running in the direction of the wreck, Erin came running down the road toward me carrying JaCee. I was SO happy to see them....Erin was yelling right away --- we are OK. We are Ok! Our neighbors had some family over to visit & two of them were racing down my parents road, when they looked up, one of them was coming straight at Erin & JaCee, he swerved to miss them & rolled his 4.wheeler. He had his 5 year old little boy with him & they were both bleeding really bad & it appeared his leg was shattered. My dad is a volunteer firefighter so he knew how to handle the scene. Erin was so scared, shaking....I felt so bad for her. She felt bad JaCee saw the wreck & was crying. The ambulance came, and then...someone came riding up on a 4.wheeler & said there is a BEAR coming down the road. My parent's area they live in has had a few bears bugging them for a couple of weeks. I started laughing --- only in Montana. There is a 4.wheeler wreck and then a bear coming down the road!!!

After the accident, Erin & Ryan drove back home & we set off fireworks to end the night.

Monday Morning we packed up to head home. We got home around 11ish, it was 90 degree's out, so we un.hooked the trailer of wood & hooked up the boat & headed to the lake. Matt's family was at a family cabin, so we went to visit for the day. Got home & everyone crashed. It was a nice long relaxing weekend! I am so Thankful God was watching over us and protecting our family. Matt & I were talking on our way home, saying if that guy hadn't have swerved to miss JaCee, our day would look a lot different!!! We feel we are safe with the kids when we are riding, but you can't account for what other's are going to do, we learned that lesson this weekend.
