Last Friday was our 5 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe 5 years went that fast. We were laughing saying, we sold 2 houses, bought a new one (our current house), sold Matt's business, and had 2 babies. Wow! The crazy thing is when we got married, this is the exact life I envisioned. Me at home, with my babies, in a house we bought together. We got to celebrate on Saturday night. Matt's parent's came to watch the girls while we went to Cedar's in CDA. It was SO good. Then we walked around down town CDA for a while & then had ice.cream before heading back home. It was nice to go to dinner alone & we didn't even talk about the kids the whole time. (We talked future home projects...just as bad! ha~)
Here are flowers Matt brought home for me ~
The girls seem like they are changing SOOO much lately!
Morgen was 16 months old on Sunday. She had her last bottle on the 17th. I know the books/Dr.'s say at 12 months stop, but I didn't. I didn't with JaCee at 12 months either. She was soo small I knew extra bottle's wouldn't hurt her. For Morgen ---- It was purely selfish. If I haven't said before I LOVE giving her a bottle before bed & rocking her to sleep. And knowing we aren't having any more babies --- I was in no hurry to stop the bottle. But coincidentally both girls at 16 months stopped wanting the bottle. Morgen did exactly what JaCee did...drink a little bottle & then push it away. So a couple day's later, we were done. A sad day for me. =( Morgen's also talking a LOT more now. You can't tell what she's saying, but she is talking at appropriate times. Today she said "BITE" when she wanted a bite of a peppermint patty I was eating. She loves to swing outside. Loves to go on walks. LOVES dogs. We don't have one, but if she sees one on TV or out & about...she runs to it with her hands out & squeals in delight. JaCee could care less, really. She just goes on about doing what she's doing. Morgen has all 4 Molars in now. I think the 1st one was the worst. Morgen gets her stool to get food out of the pantry when she's hungry, loves to climb on anything she can. I came upstairs from changing a load of laundry yesterday to find her on the kitchen counter, playing with the key's handing on the wall. She had gotten her own little chair, put it under the stool, climbed on the stool & up to the counter. STINKER! She climbs on EVERYTHING!
Those eye's get me every time!
JaCee is changing just as fast. She is getting such a little imagination on her. She is constantly talking to someone on the phone or talking to her baby...I love listening to the stories she is telling. She plays so good with Morgen. The other day they were playing in JaCee's room & I went in to check on them & JaCee had Morgen laying down, her pants & DIAPER were off & she was putting on a new diaper. She said Mom she needed her diaper changed. Such a little mommy already. She is getting ready to be in my brother's wedding in a couple of months as the flower girl (Morgen will be too if all goes well). So a lot of her conversations these day's revolve around bride's and bridesmaid's dresses & flower girls. It's pretty cute. She loves to play outside, chase birds --- she thinks she can catch them & doesn't understand why they don't want to play with her, loves.loves.loves music, she still isn't into many cartoon's except Barney! She is my mini-me still. She is sensitive like me, loves to copy anything I am doing & be everywhere I am. Helping with laundry, gardening, cooking dinner, etc. She is doing good with her chore's....and it's the main motivator to get her to clean her room & pick up toys. Although her biggest fights with Morgen is if she just cleaned her room & Morgen goes in and makes a mess.
Loving her swing
